Power

Power showing off some of her mad hops

When she was born, she was named “Power” by her breeder.  The name fits her – she is the most powerful big-air dog I’ve ever seen.

She’s a purebred Belgian Malinois from Ontario, Canada.  Power’s mom, Jagger (Extreme Chaos Flyball team) and aunt, Bubbles (Springloaded Flyball team), have set a high standard for Power to reach in Flyball racing.  While she hasn’t gotten close to her mom’s best time of 3.6, she has consistently run 3.9’s with passes.  Her box turn is quick and her tug drive is unmatched.  She occasionally takes two jumps in one stride while racing!  She is among the top pointed Belgian Malinois in the sport of Flyball racing already, and she’s just 3 years old.

She FLIES for a Frisbee Disc, always catching the disc in the air as high as possible.  She is still learning her Freesyle rountine frisbee tricks, but she naturally is a huge jumper and loves to fly.  Ethan and Power will start competing in UFO and Skyhoundz tournaments in summer 2011.  They’ve performed a Freestyle routine in a Superdogs show along with World Champion Matt DiAno, and will be doing more Frisbee in upcoming entertainment performances.

Her high-jumping abilities are just starting to come together.  She has cleared 9-bars in the Superdogs shows she’s performed in at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado.  That’s clearing up to 56” (almost 5 feet) without knocking the bar.

Power is also just starting out in Agility, already she’s an amazing weaver.  She performed 30 weave pole racing at the Texas State Fair in the CoolDog Productions shows in 2010, and also got started in Dock Diving while she was there.  We are looking forward to an exciting career for her in Dock Dogs and Splash Dogs, in the Big Air and Extreme Vertical classes.

With Power’s intense and frantic competition enthusiasm, you’d think she would be ballistic at home as well.  She’s actually very gentle, sensitive, and loving when she’s not out competing.  As a Belgian Malinois, she has a protective instinct but she is friendly once she knows you.  She’s also very friendly and gentle with kids at entertainment show performances, when she gets to meet the crowds after the shows.

Power is an exceptional high flying Belgian Malinois, and we are looking forward to an exciting career for her when her natural talents have reached their full potential.
