Flyball
The D.E.O. Speedwaggin’ Flyball Team was founded in 2001 by Keri Caraher in Denver, Colorado. We have been Regional Champions in Regular and/or Multibreed racing every year since 2006, and our speed records are currently:
- 16.76 seconds in Regular
(Breeze, Arrow, Kaya, Power) - 16.78 seconds in Multibreed
(Breeze, Cor, Kaya, Power)
Our club has raced at every Cynosports Flyball Championships and every NAFA Canadian American Championships. We’ve hosted many NAFA tournaments and a couple U-FLI Tournaments in the Denver, Colorado area since 2004.
D.E.O. Speedwaggin’ is the proud home of the 2009 North American Flyball Association Hall of Fame Inductee, Morgan.
We have several dogs that are in the top flyball racers of their breed, including:
#1 Great Dane in NAFA and U-FLI – Morgan (with 42,000+ NAFA points and 4,500+ U-FLI points, 4.839 U-FLI Singles time)- #3 Mixed Breed in NAFA – Kaya (with 100,000+ NAFA points, 3.954 U-FLI Singles time, #10 NAFA lifetime)
- #6 Yorkshire Terrier in NAFA – Polly (with 6,500+ NAFA points)
- Top-20 Belgian Malinois in NAFA – Power
- Top-50 Border Collie in NAFA – Arrow
We have raced in over 15 states, including Alaska! Speedwaggin’ members are now spread through out many NAFA Region 19 clubs including Denver Speed Demons, Rocky Mountain Flyball, Westside Woofers and Phantom Flyers.
While competing is our passion, occasionally we also train other dogs in private lessons in Colorado or in Las Vegas. If you’re looking to train your dog in Flyball, we recommend joining classes near Denver with Phantom Flyers, or near Las Vegas with Flying Colors.
